ON1's Dylan Kotecki and Dan Harlacher walk through Photo RAW 2026.4, starting with the Home module. It provides shortcuts to open photos, browse folders and import images, plus access to recent edits, folders and albums. The presenters also describe preinstalled practice files and training content that varies by version.

The main tutorial covers Restore AI, exclusive to ON1 Photo RAW MAX. Harlacher explicitly says restoration runs in the cloud on server-grade hardware. This workflow therefore does not provide offline processing on the user's computer. Examples include damaged prints, faded color photos, a film scan and an early digital image.

The walkthrough explains faithful restoration, colorization and text prompts for changing colors or removing objects. Harlacher notes that colorization guesses colors and that AI detail can invent information. Tone, color and detail sliders let users reduce the effect, while face recovery has separate controls for each detected face.

Restore AI creates new pixels and saves a new file, with formats including TIFF and JPEG. Users can send results to other modules for further editing. Batch synchronization copies restoration settings but excludes text prompts from the generations pane. The closing overview covers masked layers, creative filters and Resize AI improvements in Photo RAW 2026.
