Accentize DeRoom

Accentize DeRoom is a proprietary desktop audio plugin for podcast editors, content creators and dialogue editors working with speech recorded in echoing rooms. It runs inside audio and video applications on macOS and Windows, using a neural network to separate direct sound from room reflections.

The plugin reduces or removes reverb tails and echoes that make speech harder to understand. Its model was trained on different room scenarios, so it estimates the room acoustics automatically rather than requiring you to work out room timing settings. You control how much reverb it removes, which lets you reduce the room sound without having to remove it entirely.

Processing happens in real time, so you can hear the effect as you adjust it. That makes it useful for judging how much treatment a voice recording needs while editing in the application you already use. The focus is speech clarity, including recordings made in reverberant spaces such as living rooms or churches.

DeRoom supports mono and stereo audio and comes in VST3, AU and AAX formats. Compatible audio hosts include Pro Tools, Reaper, Logic Pro, Cubase and Ableton Live. For dialogue work alongside picture, it also works in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut and DaVinci Resolve.
