iZotope Neoverb

iZotope Neoverb is a proprietary reverb plug-in for music producers who want help choosing ambience and keeping it from obscuring a mix. It runs in a DAW on macOS or Windows, with support for Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. Its Reverb Assistant listens to the audio, selects a blend of reverbs based on your preferred space and tone, and suggests EQ adjustments.

The Blend Pad combines up to three reverb engines, including Reflections, Plate and Hall, in a single effect. You can automate the balance in your DAW so the space changes during a song. The engines use Exponential Audio technology, with algorithms inspired by studio hardware and realistic room sounds.

Neoverb addresses the buildup that can make reverb sound muddy. Pre EQ suggests cuts before the signal reaches the reverb, while Reverb EQ uses automatic Unmasking to reduce interference with the dry signal. A Masking Meter can also check overlap with other tracks through compatible iZotope plug-ins, including Neutron, Nectar, VocalSynth and Relay.

You can adjust the assistant's choices through separate controls for each engine, including attack and damping. Presets cover vocals, instruments and genres. Tempo-synced reverb timing, transient smoothing and pitch or randomized modulation give producers control over rhythmic effects and the texture of reverb tails.

Neoverb supports AU, AAX, VST3 and VST2 formats and works with hosts including Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Pro Tools and REAPER.
