ACDSee Photo Studio Ultimate is a paid Windows desktop photo editor for photographers who want to manage large collections and edit their photos in one application. It combines non-destructive RAW adjustments with layered editing and AI tools for finding related images, retouching portraits and generating content. It works directly with existing photo folders, without requiring a collection import.
Photo organization goes beyond keywords. Visual similarity search finds related shots from a selected image, while automatic stacks group photos by appearance, capture time or GPS location. You can also make your own stacks to keep bursts, brackets and alternate shots together without merging or deleting files. Face recognition suggests names based on people you've confirmed; ratings, categories and color labels provide additional ways to sort a library.
RAW editing preserves the original file and includes selective adjustments, color and lighting controls, and presets for individual photos or a whole shoot. Layers support masks, blend modes, text and shapes. AI tools handle sky replacement and facial adjustments, while generative tools create images from prompts or references, fill gaps, remove objects and apply changes described in words. Core classification and photo-organization AI runs locally. AI Image Generation, Generative Fill, Generative Edit and AI Remove use cloud processing, sending encrypted prompts and images through ACDSee servers.
The app runs on Windows 10 and 11 with an Intel or AMD processor, at least 8 GB RAM and a DirectX 12 graphics adapter with 2 GB VRAM. Activation, licence validation and online services require internet access and a valid email address. ACDSee Mobile Sync transfers photos and videos wirelessly from iPhone or Android to the desktop app.
