CodeFuse ChatBot
A self-hosted AI coding assistant that uses your code and documents, supports offline deployment with local models, and connects to the OpenAI API.
CodeFuse ChatBot is a self-hosted AI assistant for developers and DevOps teams who want answers grounded in their own code repositories and documentation. It combines repository analysis with agents that can use tools and execute code in a sandbox, covering work across design, coding, testing, deployment and operations.
With local LLMs and embedding models, it can run privately and offline. It also supports models through FastChat and calls to the OpenAI API. The API route sends model requests to an external service; an offline deployment uses models on your own hardware. Docker deployment is supported, and the README provides Windows and Intel-based macOS setup notes and specifies Python 3.9.18 with CUDA 11.7 for its tested model environment.
Repository context is central to the assistant: it can answer questions about a local codebase, analyze code across a repository and generate code at the project-file level. For documentation, it combines retrieval from uploaded files with knowledge graphs to support questions that depend on your team's technical material. Teams can also build knowledge bases focused on their DevOps work.
Its codefuse-muAgent framework coordinates multiple agents, while tool and API integrations let those agents interact with development and operations platforms through chat. A sandbox provides an isolated environment for compiling code and executing actions. The assistant can also collect reference material from specified web URLs.
