cook coordinates Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode so developers can give coding tasks repeated reviews or compare competing implementations. It runs as a CLI in a local terminal or CI environment, with a Claude Code skill also available. It requires Node.js and one of the supported coding agents.
Its main distinction is that you can combine workflows. A task can go through several sequential passes, with each pass seeing the previous output, or enter a review loop that checks the work and requests fixes until it meets your criteria. You can assign different agents or models to the implementation and review steps. For longer task lists, an outer loop advances to the next task after the current one passes review.
Parallel runs use isolated git worktrees. You can ask agents to attempt the same task independently or test different approaches, then choose a winning branch, synthesize the results into a fresh implementation, or produce a comparison document without merging code. Each branch can have its own review loop.
The orchestration runs locally; agent requests can still reach external services. cook can use an agent's own OS sandbox or run agents in Docker, where outbound network access is restricted by default to required agent hosts. OpenCode requires Docker mode. Project instructions and per-step agent settings let teams reuse their workflow, and cook automatically waits and retries when an agent encounters a rate limit.

Albert coordinates Claude Code agents for developers who want to hand off a coding goal across several tasks. Its harness and dashboard run locally on Windows, macOS or Linux, and it requires an installed, signed-in Claude Code account. It assigns work to Haiku, Sonnet or Opus according to the task and continues until the goal is complete or it reaches a requested review checkpoint.

Foreman is a local terminal app for developers who want Claude Code agents to carry a feature through planning, implementation and verification. It runs against your repository, with human approval of design documents and the issue queue before autonomous coding begins. The Python project uses the MIT license and is tested on Linux and WSL2. Real agent work requires an authenticated Claude Code CLI.

Pi Messenger connects Pi coding agent sessions working in separate terminals on the same project. It's for developers who want agents to share progress and divide work without editing over one another. Coordination runs through local files, with no separate server or background service.
Codex CLI is an open source coding assistant that runs on your computer and works with local repositories. It's for developers who want to explore code, make changes, and use their existing development tools from the terminal. It runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux under the Apache 2.0 license.
kodo coordinates installed coding agents so developers can leave a defined task running for hours. It runs locally on macOS, Linux and Windows and is open source under the MIT license. It's aimed at work with a clear goal that can progress without frequent human decisions.
Liza coordinates coding agents through a software delivery workflow with separate authors and reviewers. It's for developers who want to delegate work from specifications through tested, documented code while retaining control over product decisions. Its Go supervisor enforces role boundaries, validation gates and merge authority in code, rather than relying entirely on agents to follow prompts.
