Archon
An AI coding workflow engine runs on your machine, coordinates Claude Code and Codex, and accepts tasks from a terminal, web console or chat platform.

Archon is a workflow engine for developers who want AI coding agents to follow a defined development process. It coordinates work across projects, with repeatable stages for planning, implementation, checks and review.
- Reusable workflows: Define development processes in YAML, combining agent tasks with scripts, tests, approval gates, conditions and loops.
- Parallel coding tasks: Each run gets its own Git worktree, so agents can work on separate tasks at the same time without sharing a working directory.
- Agent choice: Use Claude Code or Codex and choose different providers for a whole workflow or individual steps.
- Issue-to-PR work: Bundled workflows cover issue triage, bug investigation, planning, implementation, validation and pull request review, including fixes after review findings.
- Remote dispatch and monitoring: Start work through the CLI, web console, Slack, Telegram or GitHub, then inspect progress, logs and artifacts in the console; project chat lets you talk with the coding agent.
Archon is free, open source under the MIT license, and runs on your machine. Its workflows can live in your repositories alongside the code they govern. Agent access uses provider credentials, while remote dispatch connects to the selected external platform. Archon sends anonymous usage telemetry, including workflow outcomes and chat usage totals, but excludes message content and approval comments.
