Mirrai
A self-hosted AI companion builds personas from chat history, with offline inference through Ollama and an optional farewell process.

Mirrai is an AI companion for people who want to revisit unfinished conversations through a persona based on someone's chat history. It simulates their communication style, with a farewell process that gives the experience an optional endpoint.
- Personas from chat history: Analyze uploaded conversations to build an editable profile of someone's personality, speech patterns, relationship habits and conflict style.
- Changing emotions: Replies shift tone as the conversation changes, and you can view or manually change the persona's emotional state.
- Farewell and dormancy: When conversation patterns suggest greater emotional calm, the app can offer a "graduation" with an AI-written goodbye letter and put the persona to sleep; you can wake it again later.
- Memories and conversation records: Keep separate histories for multiple personas, manage memories, generate conversation diaries and export chats as HTML.
- WeChat replies: Connect a contact to a persona that shares its profile and memories with the browser app. This uses an unofficial WeChat protocol and carries an account ban risk.
Mirrai is open source under the MIT license. It runs on your own machine or server through Docker, with a separate macOS app for Apple Silicon on macOS 13 or later. The app interface is Chinese-first; the landing page is bilingual.
Uploads and stored conversations stay local. Ollama supports fully offline inference; choosing OpenAI, Claude, DeepSeek or another cloud backend sends inference requests to that provider. Personas acknowledge that they're AI when asked by default. Modeling a real person requires their consent and chat records you have permission to use.
