sonible prime:vocal is a proprietary desktop AI audio processor for singers, producers and editors who need to repair vocal or speech recordings before mixing. Its processing is trained specifically for vocals, with tools for cleaning up phone recordings, home demos and dialogue captured in untreated rooms.

It reduces background noise, including electrical buzz and mechanical sounds, and suppresses room reverberation. De-essing controls harsh sibilants, while plosive reduction tackles loud or boomy consonant sounds. These processes sit alongside adjustments to spectral balance, dynamics and average loudness, so you can address recording defects and shape the vocal's sound in the same application. You can adjust the strength of each process to suit the recording.

The software analyzes the recording and lets you hear processed sections while it continues working in the background. For music production, it prepares a vocal track for the mix; for film and video work, it can help repair dialogue that might otherwise need rerecording. It runs as a standalone application with audio export, with an ARA VST3/AU plug-in also available in beta for supporting DAWs.

prime:vocal runs on Windows 10 or later and macOS 11 or later, with native Apple Silicon support. It requires at least 16 GB of RAM and graphics support for OpenGL 3.2 or later; the listed CPU options are Intel Core i5 and Apple Silicon. Authorization uses either a machine-based license or iLok, with dongle and cloud options.
