Tiledesk is a self-hosted platform for building AI agents and connecting them to human support teams. It's aimed at businesses automating customer conversations, internal information searches and workflows through a visual builder. You can run it on your own server with Docker or Kubernetes, or use its hosted cloud service.
The platform uses an open core approach, and the deployment repository has an MIT license. The repository notes that Enterprise deployments require private Docker images; the website describes the broader product, so feature availability depends on the deployed edition. On-premises deployments can keep models, embeddings, documents and vector storage inside your infrastructure. Local LLM integration supports Llama and Mistral, with Qdrant as a local vector store option. The hosted service runs in the cloud.
The visual builder connects prompts, specialized agents, MCP tools and APIs into flows. Agents can pass a conversation to another agent based on its topic, language or intent, or hand it to a person with the conversation context. Human agents get suggested replies, relevant articles and summaries during live chats.
Knowledge search combines keyword and semantic retrieval. Separate knowledge bases let teams keep support material apart from sales content, route questions to the right collection and define fallback searches and guardrails. The platform can also extract information from human conversations to update its knowledge base.
Agents work across web chat, WhatsApp, voice, email, SMS and Facebook Messenger. Business integrations include Shopify catalog access and cart building, Google and Outlook calendar scheduling, and email ticketing that draws answers from historical threads.
