This tutorial uses free-claude-code, described in the metadata as an open source proxy, to connect the Claude Code interface to other model providers. The speaker explicitly says this does not provide free official Sonnet or Opus access. The coding assistant keeps the Claude Code workflow while a different provider supplies the model responses.
The setup covers installing Claude Code and the proxy, with separate installation instructions shown for macOS and Windows. The speaker starts the FCC server and opens its admin UI to enter, validate and apply provider API keys. The NVIDIA example uses a GPT OSS model. Model configuration requires a provider prefix before the model name; the OpenRouter example uses open_router/. The FCC server stays running while Claude Code opens in a second terminal inside a chosen project folder.
The OpenRouter walkthrough selects a model, updates the proxy configuration and tests a response. The speaker then requests a calculator in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, permits file edits for the session and opens the resulting calculator.html in a browser. The demonstration checks 4 × 5 = 20 and shows a calculation history.
The final section visits skills and the plugin marketplace. Although the metadata names Ollama as an option for a local LLM, the demonstrated setup uses hosted providers. It does not show how to run models locally or establish offline operation.
