This tutorial explains how to find photos of a specific person in Excire Foto 2027. James from the Excire team starts with a reference image, opens Find People, and searches his catalog for matching faces. The presenter describes local processing that keeps photos on the computer.

The search dialog includes filters for facial features such as smiling or open eyes, plus keyword criteria. You can adjust the similarity threshold, limit the number of results, and search the entire database or specific folders and collections.

James also explains how to review matches because facial recognition can make mistakes. The Faces panel supports constant face zoom or zoom on hover, while a magnified face preview helps check identity and image sharpness. Selecting several photos lets you assign a name, which then appears in the Timeline/People panel and also becomes a keyword.

For photos with multiple people, the Faces panel shows separate faces that you can name individually. In the larger preview, clicking a face zooms to it. Holding Alt or Option while pressing the left or right arrow key switches between faces. The workflow combines local AI search with manual review before labeling the results.
