Excire Foto is a desktop photo and video manager for enthusiast and professional photographers sorting through shoots or searching large archives. Its AI analyzes photos on your computer without uploading them for analysis.
- Content and people search: Find images using written descriptions, specific people, age groups, expressions, scenes or activities, and search visible text such as signs and product labels.
- Photo selection: Group shots by person, scene, sequence or capture date, then use Smart selection to assess aesthetics, sharpness and facial expressions; Survey View and focus peaking help you compare candidates.
- Library organization: Find duplicates, generate keywords from image content and folder names, and organize photos with collections, ratings, color labels and flags.
- Location and date browsing: Explore photos on a map or timeline, edit metadata and add GPS information.
- Gear analytics: Review which equipment you use most often and which gear is associated with your best photos.
It's paid software for macOS and Windows and requires an Excire account and initial activation. Optional sharing connects to Microsoft OneDrive, Nextcloud, Dropbox and Google Drive; photo analysis remains local.
It supports camera RAW files alongside JPEG, HEIC, TIFF, PSD and WebP, though some compressed variants aren't supported. HEIC display on Windows requires HEVC support. You can't train the built-in AI yourself.
