MagicScript is a script manager presented for DaVinci Resolve Studio 21.1. The tutorial shows how to use an AI assistant to write a script once, save it with adjustable variables, and run it again locally. The speaker lists Windows and Mac support; a Linux version is planned, rather than available in this demonstration.

The walkthrough starts with Resolve's MCP configuration under File > AI Assistant Settings. The speaker also shows a manual connection to a local LLM using the path to Resolve MCP.exe. He describes the assistant's workflow as writing and executing scripts through Resolve's API, rather than directly clicking through the editor.

After installation, MagicScript opens under Workspace > Workflow Integrations. Its assistant button supplies a markdown file with instructions for script storage and variables. A dynamic zoom example shows how a saved script can ask for a track and clip type when reused in another project. Stream Deck buttons can open a confirmation dialog or run a script with its latest settings.

Other demonstrations export SRT subtitles, save thumbnail frames from markers, and create vertical timelines from selected ranges. The speaker says saved scripts work offline, while noting that silence removal uses Resolve's local AI transcription. His preferred approach keeps clip selection with the editor and uses scripts for repetitive work. One transition-removal demo warns that the action cannot be undone.
