The presenter uses Scrapling, an open source Python scraping library, through MCP in Claude Code. The tutorial covers extracting model pricing tables, turning a public business directory into a qualified prospect CSV, and using five med spa websites to inform a landing page design.
The pricing example compares native web fetch, Scrapling and Firecrawl. The presenter reports roughly 215,000 tokens for raw HTML, 13,000 for Scrapling without a selector, and 3,000 when a CSS selector returns only pricing tables. Those figures come from a separate raw-HTML example. The live comparison reports accumulated conversation totals of roughly 17,000, 30,000 and 50,000 tokens across three requests; the presenter warns that previous messages make these measurements imprecise. Neither example establishes a general benchmark. Targeted extraction loses headings and pricing tier labels that Firecrawl preserves in its fuller output.
The directory workflow introduces Fetcher for plain HTTP, StealthyFetcher for protected pages, and DynamicFetcher for JavaScript rendering. Several directory requests return 403 errors, while the Better Business Bureau request succeeds. Claude then evaluates the extracted businesses and writes qualification notes to a CSV.
The landing-page workflow extracts colors, fonts and other design features, then asks Claude Code for a design brief and a first-draft HTML page. The presenter inspects the result and describes further edits he would make; image and video generation are suggestions rather than demonstrated steps.
Scrapling runs on the user's machine, but the tutorial does not establish that Claude inference runs locally. The presenter describes Scrapling's adaptive matching as a local similarity algorithm rather than model inference. Users maintain selectors and output formats themselves. He rejects universal bot-bypass claims and cites an independent Cloudflare test with about 58% success. Installation guidance delegates setup to an agent and checks the MCP connection with /mcp.
