Auto-Photoshop-StableDiffusion Plugin brings Stable Diffusion generation into Photoshop for artists who want to use AI alongside their existing editing tools. It connects to AUTOMATIC1111 or ComfyUI, so you can generate images within Photoshop and continue editing and saving them there.
The plugin supports text-to-image generation and image-to-image work based on an existing picture. Inpainting lets you regenerate selected areas, while outpainting extends an image beyond its current boundaries. The companion AUTOMATIC1111 extension adds mask expansion and blur controls for inpainting and outpainting.
You can run the AUTOMATIC1111 backend locally or connect to a remote instance. The plugin stays inside Photoshop; image generation runs on the backend you choose. That gives artists with a local setup a way to use local AI without repeatedly moving between Photoshop and a separate generation interface.
For people without a GPU, the plugin also supports Stable Horde, a volunteer-run distributed generation service, and links to a Colab option. Those routes run generation outside your machine rather than providing local processing.
The plugin is open source under the MIT license. Its main appeal is the connection between Stable Diffusion's generation modes and Photoshop's editing environment, with a choice of AUTOMATIC1111 or ComfyUI for the generation backend.
