Dream Textures is an open-source Blender add-on for artists who want to generate images and apply AI textures to 3D work inside Blender. It runs Stable Diffusion on your own machine and connects image generation to scene depth, texture projection, and animation rendering.
Text prompts can produce tiling textures, concept art, or background assets. Depth-to-image generation and texture projection let you texture whole models and scenes using their geometry as a guide. For animation work, the Cycles render pass can restyle rendered sequences, while a node system supports more complex effects.
You can edit existing images. Inpainting repairs selected areas and can turn an existing texture into a tiling one; outpainting extends an image beyond its original edges. AI upscaling enlarges generated images by 4x. Generation history lets you revisit earlier results and export or import entries for later use.
Local processing has been tested with CUDA and Apple Silicon GPUs, including use on macOS. The project recommends more than 4 GB of VRAM. With local generation, the model runs on your hardware; the optional DreamStudio integration sends processing to a cloud service and provides an alternative for unsupported hardware. The add-on uses the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPL-3.0).

FaceFusion is an AI face manipulation tool for photos and videos that processes media on your own machine. It's aimed at content creators, VFX artists, and film studios that want control over their footage and personal data. Local processing keeps that media on your hardware rather than sending it to a cloud service.

Krita AI Diffusion brings image generation into Krita for artists who want to paint and edit in the same workspace. The open source plugin is licensed under GNU GPL v3.0 and can run generation for free on your own hardware through ComfyUI. Interstice.cloud offers a separate online generation service for people without a suitable GPU.
ComfyUI is a local visual AI workspace for artists and technical teams who want to control how images, video, audio, 3D models and text are made. Its node canvas shows each model and processing step, so users can build and adjust workflows without writing code. It runs on your hardware.
Diffusers is an open-source Python library for developers and researchers who want to run diffusion models on their own hardware or build generation features into an application. It uses PyTorch and supports image, video and audio generation. The library is licensed under Apache 2.0 and supports Apple Silicon.
DiffusionBee is an open-source AI art app for Mac users who want to generate and edit images on their own computer. It runs Stable Diffusion offline, with image generation processed on the device. Model downloads require network access, and optional image uploads can send images externally. Its visual interface suits artists and designers who want local image tools without working through code.
