CodePilot brings Claude Code, Codex and its built-in agent into a desktop workspace for coding, project work and everyday tasks. It runs on macOS, Windows and Linux, and suits people who want local models and cloud services available in the same app.
You can connect Ollama or LiteLLM, use services such as Anthropic, OpenRouter, DeepSeek and Kimi, or connect an Anthropic-compatible or OpenAI-compatible API. Each conversation keeps its chosen agent, while compatible models and providers can change within that agent. The built-in agent doesn't require a separate CLI; Claude Code and Codex require their corresponding tools and credentials.
Multiple conversations keep independent context, with split-screen viewing and sessions that survive an app restart. Project tools let you inspect files and review changes alongside chat. Permission controls govern agent approvals, and MCP servers, Skills and command-line tools extend what agents can do.
A personal assistant workspace stores preferences and persistent memories that you can inspect, correct or forget. CodePilot also supports recurring tasks, AI-created interactive charts and dashboards, and image generation. Its remote bridge connects desktop conversations to messaging services including Telegram and Discord.
Conversation history and settings stay locally. Cloud requests send relevant messages, attachments and tool results to your chosen provider; networked extensions exchange data with their services. Anonymous error reporting can be disabled. CodePilot is source-available under BSL 1.1, which limits qualifying commercial use.
