DocNavigator

Self-hosted AI chatbot builder that uses company website content, connects to OpenAI and Supabase, and runs locally or in Docker.

DocNavigator is a self-hosted AI chatbot builder for teams that want customers to ask questions about their product documentation or support content. It uses information from a company's website as the basis for the chatbot, so responses can draw on that company's material.

The web app runs locally or on your own server, with Docker as a deployment option. Users access it through a browser. Self-hosting covers the application, while AI requests go to OpenAI and the database uses Supabase. It therefore needs an internet connection and credentials for those services; it isn't an offline chatbot or a local LLM runner.

The chatbot can handle multiple queries at once, which is relevant for documentation and support sites serving several visitors concurrently. Its focus is a company-specific question-and-answer experience, rather than a general chat interface with no product context.

DocNavigator is open source under the Apache 2.0 license. Teams can inspect and modify the TypeScript application and host their own copy. The license covers the application code; OpenAI and Supabase remain separate service dependencies.
