LibreDB Studio
A self-hosted database IDE with browser access, MIT licensing and an AI database agent that can use local models through Ollama.

LibreDB Studio is a self-hosted database IDE for developers and database teams who want browser access to data inside their own network. It can run beside the database, with an interface that also works on phones and tablets.
- Database browsing and queries: Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis and analytical engines in one interface, using each engine's native query language.
- SQL workspace: Write queries with schema-aware completion, keep saved queries and work across tabs with separate execution states.
- Schema inspection: Explore relationships through ER diagrams, export diagrams as PNG or SVG, and compare schemas with migration SQL generation for supported engines.
- Query analysis and monitoring: Inspect visual execution plans and database health information, with available panels determined by what each engine reports.
- AI database agent: Ask a question or set an investigation objective, and the read-only agent queries the database and produces a report with claims linked to results; agent mode supports PostgreSQL, SQLite and DuckDB.
The application runs on your own server, including through Docker, and is open source under the MIT license. OIDC single sign-on, role-based access control, query audit logs and checks before destructive statements are included. The agent can use Ollama for local inference or Gemini and OpenAI for cloud inference, which sends model requests to those providers. Editing, diagrams and monitoring vary by engine; Elasticsearch and OpenSearch provide query and browsing access without row editing or ER diagrams.
