Omodo is a macOS menu bar AI assistant for people who manage work through Apple Mail, Calendar, Reminders and Notes. It uses models running on your Mac to track requests and handle tasks in the background.

  • Email actions Turn email requests into reminders and calendar events, then update, cancel or complete them when follow-up messages resolve the task; you can also email yourself a request for the assistant to act on remotely.
  • Contact context View a person's emails, commitments, notes and related files together, with saved memory that carries relationship context into later conversations.
  • File organization Monitor local folders, summarize documents, extract tags, search by meaning and rename files according to their contents and your naming convention.
  • Meeting notes Record meetings with on-device transcription and speaker identification, then save structured summaries to Apple Notes and link them to contacts.
  • Chat and clipboard Ask questions about your data or create tasks in plain language, and search clipboard history with automatic categorization and sensitive content detection.

Omodo requires Apple Silicon and macOS 14 or later. Its AI processing runs locally through the built-in engine or Ollama, without a cloud inference service or an additional account. It accesses Apple's apps with your permission and has no telemetry or data collection. Receiving new email and synchronizing online calendars still depend on those services.
