PicoClaw is a self-hosted personal AI assistant with messaging channels, a browser interface and tools for file operations, code execution and web research. It can handle scheduled reminders and recurring tasks through its cron tool. The Go application runs on your own hardware.
You can connect it to local Ollama, LM Studio or vLLM servers, or choose a hosted model provider. The provider guide includes Ollama configuration using a local endpoint without an API key. Local inference keeps model requests on that server; messaging channels, web search and external tools still use network services. The resources needed to run a local model are separate from the assistant runtime.
The WebUI Launcher opens a browser interface for configuration and chat. Released binaries support macOS, Windows and Linux, including ARM and RISC-V devices. Docker Compose provides another installation path. Android users can install the APK from the official website or run the terminal binary through Termux.
PicoClaw supports Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp and other channels. MCP servers extend its available tools, and model routing can select a model for different requests. The project is independently developed by Sipeed and uses the MIT license.
