A local AI assistant for iOS that chats offline with GGUF models, analyzes health data and statements, and connects to Ollama on a Mac.
Priv AI is an on-device assistant for people who want to chat with AI and use it to examine personal health and financial information. It works offline after a model download and doesn't require an app account.
- Local model chat: Chat with GGUF models through llama.cpp, with a Hugging Face catalog that includes SmolLM2, Qwen2.5, Llama 3.2, Phi 3.5, Gemma and Mistral.
- Health insights: Use Apple HealthKit data as context for AI coaching and analysis.
- Statement analysis: Read bank and credit card statements supplied as PDFs or images, then use AI to categorize financial information.
- Image text recognition: Extract text from images with Apple's on-device Vision OCR for analysis.
- Mac model access: Connect to Ollama on a Mac over the same WiFi network to use larger models than those running on the phone.
Inference and HealthKit access require a physical device running iOS 17 or later. With on-device models, processing stays on the phone; connecting to Ollama sends requests to your Mac. Health data comes directly from HealthKit without a separate cache, while financial data stays in the app's sandbox. The app has no telemetry or analytics and is open source under the Apache License 2.0.
