sonible smart:EQ
An AI equalizer plug-in for macOS and Windows that balances tracks, reduces masking across a mix, and supports native Apple Silicon processing.

sonible smart:EQ is a proprietary AI equalizer plug-in for producers and audio engineers who want to correct tonal imbalances while accounting for the rest of a mix. It runs in a desktop DAW on macOS or Windows, with native Apple Silicon support. Its cross-channel processing helps reduce frequency masking between tracks, so competing parts have more room in the mix.
You can arrange grouped tracks into foreground, middle, and background priorities through drag and drop. The EQ uses that hierarchy to guide its processing, and each instance can control other instances in the same group. An analyzer displays the spectra of grouped tracks together, making their frequency overlap visible.
The smart:filter balances audio against profiles for instruments, vocals, or entire mixes. Genre profiles provide targets for mix processing, while a reference track can supply a custom profile based on its spectral character. You can restrict correction to a frequency range and adjust how gently the filter works or how it responds to changing audio. Track balancing and group unmasking can work separately or together.
Manual EQ remains available. Dynamic EQ bands offer compressor-style controls and can work alongside the AI filter or replace it. Mid/Side processing lets you adjust the center and sides separately, and automatic gain compensation offsets level changes caused by EQ.
The plug-in supports VST, VST3, and AAX on both platforms, plus AU on macOS. Authorization uses a machine-based license or iLok.
