iZotope Ozone
Audio mastering plugins use an AI assistant to create presets tailored to your tracks, with manual control over the mastering chain.

iZotope Ozone is a proprietary audio mastering suite for musicians, producers, and audio engineers preparing finished mixes for distribution. It combines mastering modules in one place with an AI-powered Master Assistant that creates a preset tailored to your audio. You can adjust that starting point or build the mastering chain yourself.
The assistant uses analysis of professional recordings to create presets that match target sounds. That gives people with less mastering experience a starting point, while engineers can make their own processing decisions. The controls remain editable, so the assistant's choices don't have to be the final ones.
Ozone brings together tools for shaping balance, loudness, and fidelity, reducing the need to assemble a mastering chain from separate plugins. Its processing tools include the Maximizer, Unlimiter, and Stem EQ. The suite also addresses low-end mastering, where bass needs a balance of punch, power, and weight.
The combination of guided presets and manual processing is its main reason to consider it: you can use the assistant when you want help finding an initial sound, then refine the result within the same suite. Ozone uses digital signal processing and neural networks in its mastering tools.
The software runs as native audio plug-ins on macOS and Windows in a compatible DAW. Module and component-plugin availability varies by edition. Audio processing runs in the installed host; downloads and licence activation use vendor services.
