Toonflow is an AI creation platform for short dramas, animated stories and short videos. It takes novels or brief ideas through scriptwriting, storyboards and video production in a shared canvas workspace.

  • Canvas workspace: Organize scripts, characters, scenes and video clips together, with image and video generation in the same project.
  • Production agents: Use separate agents for directing, dialogue, shot planning and quality checks, including checks for plot gaps and character contradictions.
  • Character consistency: Maintain a character appearance database to guide faces, clothing and props across scenes and shots.
  • Finished video: Process long texts in batches and produce videos with voice generation, subtitles and editing in portrait or landscape formats.
  • Model and tool choice: Connect local ComfyUI and LLMs or external services such as Nano Banana, Kling, Jimeng and Hailuo, and extend workflows through MCP and plugins.

The software is free and open source under MIT. Desktop apps run on Windows and Apple Silicon macOS; Docker and Linux server deployments provide browser access. Projects and assets stay on your device or server, while external model APIs involve the selected provider in generation. The optional TF-Router service relays model requests outside the local app.

Server deployments don't include independent login authentication for the interface or API, so public access requires an authenticated proxy.
