This tutorial explains how to set up Aftershoot for batch photo editing with a consistent style. The presenter says its AI learns from previous edits and that photos and data stay on your computer. The walkthrough also refers to uploading training files, so it does not establish that every step runs offline.
A personal AI profile uses a Lightroom catalog with at least 2,500 edited photos. The training images can be RAW or JPEG, in color or black and white. The tutorial shows how to select examples with star ratings, color labels, or checkboxes and exclude poor or unedited files before training.
For photographers with fewer than 2,500 edited images, the presenter recommends an instant AI profile. This starts with an XMP preset in the Edit tab, followed by prompts to adjust exposure and temperature. Another option is to compare Marketplace profiles on your own images and adjust the chosen style for the lighting conditions.
Before processing a gallery, users can select cropping, horizon alignment, and AI masking options. The presenter describes edits that adapt to each image's lighting and scene. Review remains part of the workflow: users can adjust exposure, color, or tone for one image or a whole set, then export for sharing or further retouching.
