Kevin Stratvert walks through installing ComfyUI Desktop and using LTX 2.3 to generate videos on a PC. He recommends Windows with an NVIDIA RTX graphics card as the easiest configuration for following the tutorial. He describes ComfyUI as open source and says the local workflow requires no API keys, subscriptions, or usage credits. The cloud option requires a paid subscription.
The setup starts with selecting local execution, opening the video template gallery, and filtering for models that run on the computer. ComfyUI then identifies the missing files for the LTX 2.3 workflow. In the demonstrated installation, five model files need about 40 GB of disk space. The download dialog retrieves them together.
For text-to-video, the tutorial covers the prompt, width, height, duration, and frame rate controls. Stratvert keeps the defaults for his example and notes that generation time depends on the graphics card. His requested blimp looks partly like a hot air balloon, which gives a concrete example of where a more specific prompt might help.
The image-to-video example reuses the downloaded models, starts with a dragged-in image, and adds a prompt describing motion. ComfyUI saves the results automatically; the Assets view lets users preview, save elsewhere, or delete them. The closing section points to workflows for video editing, camera control, inpainting, and upscaling.
