Excire Foto 2027 adds new ways to search and review a photo library. This overview demonstrates the changes to the standalone photo manager and explains how they differ from features in Excire Foto 2025. The presenter says processing runs locally on your computer.

Map View displays photos by capture location. Selecting map nodes or drawing a rectangle brings matching images into a strip, where you can open them or apply keywords as a group. Survey View requires multiple selected images and lets you compare shots side by side, assign ratings and remove images from the comparison.

The OCR demonstration separates searching image content from searching text inside photos. A content query for Paris finds Eiffel Tower images; text search finds the word on shirts and signs. Another example finds number 120 on a runner's bib. The presenter cautions that obscured, stylized or angled text can be harder to recognize.

Filters hide nonmatching photos in the current view and remain active until cleared, unless automatic reset is configured. They preserve the chosen sort order rather than ranking matches by relevance. The Timeline Graph filters by capture date. Focus peaking adds a colored sharpness overlay with an adjustable threshold; a loose threshold can still mark parts of a motion-blurred image. The video also demonstrates copying image previews to the clipboard.
