This tutorial introduces Handy as a free offline dictation alternative to Wispr Flow. Setup covers dragging the app into place, granting microphone and accessibility permissions, and downloading a speech recognition model. The speaker selects Parakeet V3, which the app presents as the recommended model. He then assigns the right Option key as the transcription shortcut and enables push-to-talk. Holding the key records speech and displays an audio waveform; releasing it inserts the resulting text at the cursor. This is an on-device workflow for typing by voice.
The second part demonstrates GravityWrite, which the speaker identifies as his own team's tool. After signing in, he opens its summarizer to transcribe audio or video files and produce summaries. He also describes YouTube link input and claims support for languages including Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. A saved template requests bullet points, and an uploaded video produces separate transcript and summary tabs.
