This tutorial presents the speaker's updated Hunyuan 3D 2.1 setup through the blackspade/hunyuan3d-studio repository. It separates image-to-mesh generation and mesh-to-texture generation so the speaker can complete both stages on an RTX 4070 Ti with 12GB VRAM. He says the combined pipeline requires 16GB and reports that he has not made this setup work on AMD cards.

The Windows setup calls for Python 3.10, CUDA Toolkit 12.4 and Visual Studio 2022 to build the rasterizer. The speaker specifies 16GB of system RAM as the minimum and recommends 32GB. He explains that the required Python and CUDA versions can coexist with newer installations, then walks through building the rasterizer and running setup to download the models.

The local AI demonstration uses a crate image to generate a mesh. After downloading it, the speaker closes the first process and launches the texture interface, supplying the mesh and the same reference image. He initially estimates eight to ten minutes for texturing, but later reports a completion time of 246 seconds for this example.

The final section imports the textured result into Blender. The speaker notes imperfect textures and a high face count, suggesting UV edits and mesh simplification. For installation problems, he directs viewers to the repository's issues tab and asks them to include environment details such as Windows 11 64-bit, Python and CUDA versions.
