Andrey Cheko demonstrates a writing workflow that combines Gemini, Kerlig and MacWhisper. He starts with browser-based prompting, explains fast and reasoning modes, and builds requests around a role, task, output format and exclusions. A document upload example shows how to rewrite existing material and request plain text.
The setup then moves to Google AI Studio, where he creates a Gemini API key for use in other applications. In Kerlig, he connects that key and shows a Gemini 2.5 label. He selects text in a note, requests grammar and punctuation corrections, and replaces the original with the response. Saved prompts can also rewrite material for social posts or change its tone. He notes that Gemini access and functionality vary by country.
MacWhisper handles the dictation examples. The speaker describes its underlying Whisper model as open source and demonstrates a keyboard shortcut and a saved Cleanup prompt. He also explains how examples of an author's writing could inform a reusable style prompt.
The demonstration includes a transcription error and a professional-tone prompt that fails to transform the text. He finishes that rewrite in Kerlig instead. This is a desktop workflow with server-based text processing: the speaker explicitly sends text to Gemini, so the demonstrated setup does not establish offline or private processing.
