Dean from Photo Blue explains how to install NMKD Stable Diffusion GUI and generate a first image from a text prompt. Uploaded on October 22, 2022, the tutorial uses GUI version 1.6. It does not identify the underlying Stable Diffusion model version, so the steps describe that historical GUI release.

The walkthrough starts at the project's itch.io download page. Dean selects the package described as including the model file, extracts its folder with 7-Zip, and saves it on his hard drive. He then launches the GUI and checks the output location in settings. He also explains why he keeps older installation folders: they let him revisit earlier settings and versions.

For the first generation, Dean leaves the resolution at 512 × 512 and enters a prompt for a snowy landscape with trees on fire. Although he selected the package with the model file, he says the first generation downloads the model and other files before producing an image. The GUI displays a preview, and he opens the saved result from the images directory.

This is a basic local AI setup demonstration. Dean notes that changing image dimensions depends on what the video card can handle, but gives no specific GPU or memory requirement. He leaves the remaining generation options for another video.
