Uploaded on June 23, 2023, this tutorial demonstrates OpenLLM installation and model serving in an AWS SageMaker notebook. The presenter checks the installed version, but the transcript does not identify its number. The setup reflects the upload period; it is not a current installation reference.

The walkthrough starts with a GPU notebook instance and JupyterLab, then installs prerequisites and OpenLLM. OPT is the model used in the demo. The presenter reports a download of about 2.63 GB before the service starts on localhost. Because the notebook runs on AWS, he accesses port 3000 through the notebook URL's proxy path.

The Swagger interface provides a generation endpoint where he submits "who are you?" and inspects the response. He cautions that the small model should not produce an outstanding answer. This is a demonstration of serving and querying a model, rather than a quality benchmark or evidence that OpenLLM supports every LLM.

The final section shows a command-line query and a Python client that receives an endpoint and prompt. For a local Linux machine, the presenter says localhost or a server IP can replace the SageMaker endpoint. That makes the tutorial relevant to a self-hosted model API, although the demonstrated environment is a cloud notebook rather than an offline desktop setup.
