This walkthrough tests Superpowers as a planning plugin in Claude Code on a Laravel and Filament demo. The presenter installs it at project scope, reloads plugins and asks its brainstorming skill to prepare a plan from a short project brief. The free video focuses on Superpowers; the direct comparison with Claude Code and Codex belongs to a separate premium recording.
Brainstorming asks about model selection, seeded data, encryption and deletion behavior. A browser companion displays diagrams and tables, while the presenter approves each design section in the terminal. Superpowers then writes and reviews a design specification before generating a separate implementation plan. Both documents are automatically committed to Git, which surprises the presenter.
The resulting plan contains 10 tasks and more than 1,000 lines of Markdown, including code and Artisan commands. The presenter chooses sub-agent execution and observes Sonnet handling implementation and separate code review after planning with Opus. He reports about 15 minutes for execution.
The final checks demonstrate login, a participants table and AI search using an OpenAI API key. The presenter also reports encrypted personal data in the database. He considers the longer planning process useful for larger scopes, though this coding assistant demo does not establish offline or local model operation.
