Agent Reach

An open-source toolkit gives AI agents web search, social platform access and video subtitles, with tools that run on your computer or server.

Agent Reach gives AI agents access to online content for research, repository work and social media searches. It's for people using Claude Code, OpenClaw, Cursor, Windsurf or another agent that can run shell commands.

  • Web reading and search: Agents can read webpages through Jina Reader, search the web through Exa and read RSS or Atom feeds; Jina Reader and Exa use external services.
  • Video search and subtitles: Search YouTube and extract subtitles, or search Bilibili and read video details without logging in; Bilibili subtitle access needs a separate browser-based connection.
  • Social platform access: Read individual X posts, or use authenticated access for X search and timelines, Reddit posts and comments, and Facebook, Instagram and XiaoHongShu content.
  • GitHub access: Read and search public repositories, then use a GitHub login to access private repositories, create issues and pull requests, or fork projects.
  • Connection checks: Diagnose which platform connections work, identify available alternative tools and get repair suggestions for failed connections.

The toolkit is free and open source under the MIT license. It runs on your computer or a server, but its online capabilities require internet access. It stores cookies and tokens locally; content retrieval still contacts the relevant websites or external services.

Reddit, Facebook, Instagram and XiaoHongShu access requires cookies or an existing logged-in browser session. Some connections depend on desktop Chrome, and server deployments may need a paid proxy. Platforms may restrict or suspend accounts used for automated access.
