Anti Slop
A rulebook for AI coding agents that checks UI, copy, accessibility, responsive layouts, and code comments, with an MIT license.
Anti Slop is a set of skills for developers who want AI coding agents to avoid generic interfaces and filler copy. It checks the agent's work while leaving visual direction to you.
- Interface and copy checks: Apply rules to layouts, components, decoration, motion, headlines, calls to action, tone, and invented statistics.
- Accessibility and responsive layouts: Review contrast, keyboard access, focus states, reflow across screen widths, overflow, and tap targets.
- Comment cleanup: Guide the agent's choices about which code comments to keep or remove.
- Review before delivery: Require a pass/fail report against the rules before the agent delivers its work, including when the rules guide a build in progress.
You can use the core rules alone or pair them with skills for specific tasks. The design guidance also addresses energy, rhythm, and motion, but it doesn't choose colors, fonts, or layouts. Your own DESIGN.md can supply that direction; Anti Slop doesn't beautify a design on its own.
The project is open source under the MIT license. Its skill files can live in a project or your agent's local setup, and it provides plugins for Cursor and the Cline CLI. It supplies instructions to an existing coding agent rather than running a model itself. A standalone Markdown file contains the full filter for use in a chat window.
