CLODEx IDE
A local AI coding IDE that retains tasks across restarts and connects to Ollama or OpenAI-compatible APIs on macOS, Windows and Linux.
CLODEx IDE is a desktop AI coding assistant for developers working on changes across multiple sessions. It keeps task history and workspace context across restarts, so you can return to unfinished work without rebuilding the task from chat messages.
- Persistent tasks: Search earlier tasks and continue repository analysis, planning, editing or review with the task's history and workspace context retained.
- Code review and Git: Inspect pending edits and line-level diffs, work with Git worktrees, make local commits and review pull requests.
- Terminal and browser: Use persistent shell sessions and an embedded browser to inspect an application, check console output and capture screenshots within the workspace.
- Model connections: Choose local Ollama, a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint, your own provider API keys or CLODEx account-based model access.
- Action approval: Review changes and permission requests for sensitive operations, with MCP tools available alongside the built-in workspace tools.
CLODEx runs on macOS, Windows and Linux and is open source under AGPL-3.0. Task state and desktop tooling stay local by default. Selected hosted models, account services, remote MCP connections and web browsing use the network.
Product statistics require an explicit choice. The statistics contract excludes prompts, messages, source code, commands, paths, URLs and API keys.
