Kition

Kition is a desktop AI workspace for writing, research, and project planning. Its agent works directly with editable project files, so you can inspect proposed changes in the documents and boards they affect.

• Documents and edit review: Write linked Markdown notes with backlinks, live preview, search, and export, then accept or reject individual agent edits or a complete set of changes.
• Tables and AI fields: Organize typed records with attachments, formulas, and multiple views; AI fields can extract receipt text, classify records, produce summaries, and generate assets from record context.
• Whiteboards and designs: Build diagrams, mind maps, and sketches with previews of agent proposals, or create designs with editable text, image, and shape layers for PNG or JPEG export.
• Agent research and actions: Let the agent search the web, update documents and records, call configured tools, and execute approved commands while you inspect its plans and tool calls.
• Repeatable workflows: Create visual trigger-and-action workflows with step testing and run history, including email connections that bring messages into tables, documents, and automated processes.

The desktop workspace runs on macOS, including Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, and Windows. It's free for personal use, and the desktop client is open source under AGPL-3.0. Model connections support OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, Kimi, and compatible custom endpoints. Image generation and editing require a configured image-capable service.
