Procedura

A local AI 3D modeling tool creates editable parametric assemblies from text or reference images using local or cloud model backends.

Procedura generates 3D assemblies for people who want to revise the resulting model in code. Each assembly is a parametric program with named parts and defined connections, so you can edit its source and compile the geometry again.

  • Text and image input: Generate an object from a text prompt alone, or provide a reference image for reconstruction.
  • Editable assemblies: The agent plans individual parts, builds them separately and refines the assembled shape, with source code retained alongside OBJ and optional STL exports.
  • Materials and articulation: Add optional materials to individual parts and export articulation to OpenUSD or URDF; either stage can run again without rebuilding the geometry.
  • Browser inspection: Studio lets you watch the model develop part by part and inspect intermediate results, the final mesh in 3D, materials and articulation.

The pipeline and Studio run on your own machine, and the project is open source under the MIT license. It uses OpenSCAD for geometry and works with OpenAI-compatible endpoints, including local Ollama, vLLM and LM Studio servers, plus cloud services such as OpenAI and OpenRouter. Procedura has no hosted backend of its own. AI requests go to your chosen endpoint; using a cloud provider sends those requests outside your machine.
