This tutorial walks through a self-hosted AutoGPT platform setup on a local machine. Uploaded on September 24, 2024, it documents the repository workflow shown at that time. The source supplies neither a recording date nor a software version, so the steps should be read as a dated setup example.
The presenter clones the AutoGPT GitHub repository in Visual Studio Code, opens the platform folder and follows its README. The next step runs a command inside the Supabase folder; the presenter warns that this part takes a long time. Several commands are referred to only as onscreen text, so the transcript alone does not provide a complete command sequence.
Docker must be installed and running before the container step. The presenter launches Docker Desktop, returns to VS Code and waits for the Docker command to finish. Frontend setup then takes place in a separate integrated terminal. The demonstration uses npm install followed by npm run Dev, then opens localhost:3000 in Chrome.
The walkthrough ends with account signup and a logged-in page. It covers starting the interface, but does not demonstrate an AI agent task, model configuration or inference on the user's hardware. Running the platform locally is the scope of the demonstration; the source does not establish offline operation.
