This tutorial introduces Superpowers as a set of skills for the Claude Code coding assistant. The speaker shows an installation approach that involves copying a reference from its GitHub repository into Claude Code and asking it to download the skill. The walkthrough then compares two fresh projects given the same request: a note-taking app with tasks and a calendar, with skills enabled in one and explicitly disabled in the other.
The Superpowers workflow starts with brainstorming. It asks clarifying questions and presents browser previews of layout and color choices before the speaker approves a specification. A writing-plan skill then produces file paths, code snippets and implementation tasks. The speaker chooses subagent execution for a plan containing nine tasks and 40 steps. This route takes longer than the build without skills.
In the resulting apps, the speaker demonstrates richer note formatting and calendar interactions in the Superpowers version. The other build initially opens to a blank page, but later supports notes, dated tasks and a calendar. Although the speaker prefers the Superpowers result overall, he says the simpler build's task section may be better. The comparison is one demonstration rather than proof of consistent quality gains.
The closing section explains skills for root-cause debugging, verification before completion and independent code review. It mentions branch completion and Git worktrees without demonstrating them.
