ECC, originally called Everything Claude Code, is a configuration collection for a coding assistant. The speaker explains how its instructions shape planning, testing and review, then examines the code that runs when you install it.
The workflow starts with an editable plan for approval. Its TDD gate requires evidence of a failing test before implementation, while review uses a fresh context. Session summaries feed into confidence-scored patterns called instincts; recurring patterns can become skills.
According to the walkthrough, ECC uses Markdown and Node scripts tied to the harness lifecycle. A normal installation places files in the home directory and applies across sessions on that machine. Rules load on every run, while skills wait until requested. The guided installer asks about scope and hook profiles, with explicit confirmation before enabling the hook runtime. Installing through two paths in the same harness can duplicate skills and fire hooks twice.
