Matt Pocock introduces Skills v1.2.0, an update to his engineering skills collection. The overview covers documentation at aihero.dev/skills, installation through the Claude Code plugin marketplace, and compatibility changes for Codex. Pocock says marketplace installation provides a read-only bundle with automatic updates. For Codex, the release includes YAML sidecar files that carry the setting to disable implicit invocation.

The new Wait What skill asks the coding assistant to rewrite confusing replies in clear declarative sentences. It references ASD STE 100 Simplified Technical English and the project's vocabulary in context.md. Pocock presents it as a response to verbosity he has encountered with Opus, especially Opus 5; that assessment reflects his experience.

Grill Me now groups questions into rounds while respecting dependencies between answers. Writing for Agents covers agent configuration documents and skills, including moving material out of agents.md into separate skills to reduce upfront context.

Wizard generates an interactive Bash script for provisioning tasks that require human input. In the example, it opens pages and stores API keys. Pocock says those inputs go through the deterministic script rather than the AI agent. To Questionnaire turns questions from a grilling session into a Markdown document for discussion with someone else, then brings the answers back into the agent workflow.
