Matt Pocock walks through installing and using mattpocock/skills in the AI Hero CLI repository. The tutorial covers the main coding assistant workflow, which he says also works in an empty project directory.
Installation uses the skills.sh installer through npx and requires Node.js. Pocock selects the official skills rather than the experimental group, configures Claude Code, and chooses a global installation with symlinks. He recommends project installation for teams so contributors share the same skills. Repository setup then defines an issue tracker, triage labels and domain documentation. His example stores specs and tickets in local Markdown files and uses a single documentation context.
Ask Matt explains the workflow before grill-with-docs interviews him about removing internal CLI tooling. For work that fits in one session, he recommends moving directly to implementation. Larger tasks use to-spec to record the intended result and to-tickets to divide the work across sessions. He demonstrates this longer route even though he considers the example small enough for one session.
Implementation runs type checks and a build, then invokes code review against the spec and repository standards. Pocock recommends fresh context between tickets and separate review agents. He reports using Opus 4.8 at medium effort in Claude Code, while saying the skills can work with other setups.
