This tutorial follows the speaker's upgrade from ROCm 7.14 to 10.0.0 on Ubuntu. The metadata specifies Ubuntu 24.04.4; the speaker says 24.04. They remove their old virtual environment because they do not plan to return to 7.14, while noting that deleting it is optional.
The installation uses amdgpu-install with the AMD Radeon Compute plus Graphics option. The walkthrough covers uninstalling the earlier version, package cleanup, udev rules and rebooting. The speaker then checks the installation with ROCm information and AMD SMI version output.
Next comes a virtual environment in the ComfyUI folder and a pip installation of PyTorch, with version 2.12 shown in the setup discussion. A Torch check returns true. After encountering dependency issues, the speaker installs the dependencies; the description gives python -m pip install -r requirements.txt as their fix.
The local AI test uses a ComfyUI text-to-video template whose model name is transcribed as MiniMax H3. The speaker reports a "no AMD GPU processors found" warning but says generation still works. They are unsure which component produces it. On the listed RX 9070 non-XT system with 32 GB RAM, they report about 108 seconds per iteration, 25 GB RAM use and 15.1 GB VRAM use, without swap. These are observations from their setup, which also includes an undervolt, rather than general performance expectations.
