T3 Code is presented as an open source interface for managing existing coding agents. The speaker describes an MIT-licensed control layer that uses Claude Code, Codex and Cursor through their command-line tools and existing account logins. Users supply their own provider accounts.
The review focuses on parallel tasks. Threads keep task histories and tool calls, while Git worktrees give agents separate working folders and branches. The speaker also describes switching agents within a thread without losing project context. An inline diff view supports review before a button commits changes, pushes them to GitHub and opens a pull request through the user's GitHub authentication.
For a self-hosted workflow, the video describes a Node.js server with WebSocket updates, local network access, Tailscale support and T3 Connect tunneling. It reports Linux support and iOS and Android apps for checking threads and reviewing work remotely.
The speaker calls the project alpha software and cites an OpenCode bug that leaves completed threads showing a working status. Larger outside contributions are reportedly restricted. Comparisons with the Codex desktop app, Conductor and Cursor Glass focus on provider support and workflow design. This is a feature review, rather than a step-by-step installation guide.
