HitPaw VikPea

HitPaw VikPea is a paid AI video enhancer for Windows and macOS, aimed at people restoring family recordings, improving compressed clips, or preparing footage for larger screens. It combines upscaling to 4K or 8K with tools for blur, noise, and compression artifacts. It also enhances AI-generated videos from Kling, Sora, Veo, and Seedance.

Its enhancement models target different footage, including portraits, animation, low-light recordings, and old film. Beyond sharpening, it can colorize black-and-white video, adjust faded colors, and convert SDR footage to HDR. Stabilization reduces camera shake, while frame interpolation makes motion smoother.

VikPea also repairs damaged or corrupted video files and supports batch processing. It accepts formats including MP4, MOV, MKV, and AVI. Background editing lets you remove, replace, or blur a video's background; watermark removal targets timestamps and text overlays.

Processing can use your desktop hardware or cloud rendering. Cloud rendering sends processing to remote GPUs to reduce the load on your computer, while the watermark removal feature explicitly processes locally without cloud uploads. HitPaw also offers a browser version and apps for iPhone, iPad, and Android.

The desktop app requires at least 8GB of RAM, with 16GB recommended. It supports Windows 10 and 11; the Mac requirements specify macOS 13 or later and an Apple M-series processor. NVIDIA acceleration is available for video beauty and background removal.
