Note67 is a local AI meeting notes app for people who want transcripts and summaries without sending meeting audio to a cloud service. It runs on Windows 10+ and macOS 13+, with Whisper handling speech recognition and Ollama providing summaries through local LLMs. It doesn't require an account or collect data, and processing stays on your device.
The app captures microphone and system audio, distinguishing your voice from other participants as "You" and "Others". That distinction separates audio sources rather than identifying each participant by name. Live transcripts appear during recording, which you can pause and resume. Echo filtering reduces duplicate text when your microphone picks up meeting audio from speakers.
You can also transcribe existing audio files or record system audio alone. After a recording, Note67 transcribes it again to improve accuracy; you can later retry with a different Whisper model. Transcript search and speaker filters help you find relevant passages.
Ollama can summarize meetings, expand your own notes using the transcript, and turn action items into tasks with due dates and subtasks. The writing assistant can revise or expand notes. A Markdown editor supports pasted images, linked notes and backlinks, while full-text search works across your notes. You can export notes to Markdown.
Note67 is open source under AGPL-3.0. Its desktop app uses Rust and Tauri, with SQLite for local storage.
