Anarlog, formerly Hyprnote, is a desktop AI meeting notetaker for people who want to keep private conversations on their own hardware. It captures audio from your device without adding a bot to the call and stays hidden during screen sharing. The app runs on macOS, Windows and Linux; its community application is open source under the MIT license.
Your own notes sit alongside transcripts and editable AI summaries. You can chat with meeting content, organize notes in folders, use templates and export Markdown. Notes and transcripts live in a local SQLite database, while recordings and attachments remain ordinary files on your device. That gives you access to the meeting record outside the app.
Transcription and the AI used for summaries and chat are separate choices. Built-in transcription runs on-device on supported Macs, and summaries can use an OpenAI-compatible local server such as Ollama, LM Studio or Unsloth. With local models, the meeting workflow can work offline. You can also bring API keys for hosted transcription or language models; those providers process the content you send them.
Anarlog also offers optional hosted AI and cloud services, so keeping records local doesn't require using its cloud offering. For people connecting meeting notes to other software, it exposes a local API, CLI, MCP server and webhooks. The community app is MIT-licensed; source-visible enterprise components use a commercial license. Separate iOS and Android clients are available as betas.
